    Default Ryanair changing business model

Ryanair must move away from low fares, says O'Leary | Business | The Observer

I do hope so. I had the Ryanair experience last night and cheap isnt cheerful. And it's not so cheap either..microwaved steak sandwich 7 euros, warm can of beer 5 euros, extra luggage £10 a kilo.

I hope this isnt just another PR exercise to get them in the news like single pilots and stand up seats

You have to wait till it really happens with Ryanair!

But, I think O'Leary has made his money now. So he's ready to just chillax in the sun while the future CEO picks up the pieces.

To be fair I think he's done alright. It might not have been the best way to go about it for passengers or employees but he's a business man, and he made money. Thats what business is about.

I get your angle Hotdog , from our perspective in aviation, we like to see things done properly and the crew getting the respect they work so hard to maintain in keeping skills sharp.

Unfortunatly the world has many unsung heroes, and it looks set to stay that way! Red tape and a heap of other trash always gets in the way!

Guess you're not sending him your cv then?!
He is a businessman Chris and he has done extremely well but there must be a tipping point for both staff and passengers.
As we hurtled down the taxi way trying to make our slot (we missed it on the way out and sat there for an hour...apparently 20 minutes isnt a long time to turn around and he hasn't yet thought of throwing the inbound passengers down the emergency slides to save a bit of time) Mrs pilotpaul turned to me and said "Dont ever book us on this airline again!" and I couldn't really argue. That was before the lousy food and the flight attendants doing what looked like an audtion for QVC trying to flog everything from cheap bus tickets to lotto tickets.
If they up their prices either the standards will go up or some decent airlines can move in and compete
