Thats quite sad to see, Coventry is the closest 'Airport' to me before Birmingham and I was banking on them expanding so that maybe one day I could get a very local job with an airline there. I also know a mechanic who works on the ground there and a pilot who flies out of Coventry so it will be interesting to see if they have their jobs left.
True. Many years ago I did some work for Royal Mail and I am sure their national hub was based at coventry airport. It is gonna have far reaching implications and just before Christmas!
It also just doesnt help pilots looking for jobs
It's totally stunned me!
I often enjoyed hanging around the airport on my lunch break checking out the business jets and DA-42's coming in and out.
Fingers crossed for a recovery!
Looks like Cov will be back up and running in no time! Quite exciting, looks like Thomson Airways might be flying out of there again too
