    Default Sad Day - Another P-51 lost...

    Sad day as another P-51 is lost in the Nev Air Race. RIP to the Pilot.

    and to the nine spectators who were killed plus all the injured. According to todays Sunday Times nineteen pilots have been killed since1964 in the races but no mention of spectatators being killed before although it says there have been repeated questions about spectator safety. I guess you accept the risks involved if you take part but not if you are taking your family along to watch and I would imagine that is what will change things. Terrible tragedy for those involved

    Indeed.

    Sadly as pressure is applied by governing bodies and red tape, it means corners are cut and I expect we'll see a decline in aircraft that are really well maintained.
