Going Great
Doing a lot of flying this month!
Had a couple of hours in last week and doing another hour on Wednesday!
Doing really nicely now! Flown approx 14 circuits in silence without hardly a word from my instructor. He even commented that it was the most relaxing bunch of lessons he had been on for ages, not needing to say a word. He even wanted to bring his camera along to take pictures whilst I flew.
Its nice to feel some progression and confidence - to be honest, I hadn't really felt that until I started at the new school. I guess its just that I really love the C-172N. It feels great to fly and I love the amount of time it gives you on final to get your approach looking great.
All in all getting close to solo now, PFL's on Wednesday (thanks to Baxter for the PFL Document) and then its time to call in the CFI.
Can't wait!

Gorgeous day for flying - my hard work for last 10 years gives me good flexibility with work holidays!
See you at the hold! 8o)

Instructor signed me off today, just need to pick a day like today with the CFI and i'm ready to go!

4th April is the big day!
I think I have built up quite a respect for the 172N in the last few lessons, it gives you time to make good decisions. I especially like the approach configuration and speed, maybe its because I was previously battling with a SR20 - you know, where the A.I. goes on screensaver when you're in the cruise! 8o)

looks like perfect weather for you Chris!

Hi Paul,
It was great earlier in the morning but didn't get out till 10:15.
By the time i'd done my practice circuits, the wind was at 12 knots, 45* off the nose. It made for a challenge but the CFI sent me out for Solo!
Was a real battle with the weather but managed a nice safe circuit, and it never really sank in until I parked up on the grass and the CFI came over to congratulate me!
