Default Cirrus SR20 - Amazing Machine!

Just had my first lesson of the year with my new club, the SR20 is just simply amazing.

I thought that I would have a problem with the side-stick, but I just seemed to embrace it and it felt much more natural to fly the aircraft this way.

I kept my eyes from wondering onto the glass cockpit too much and used the traditional instruments where necessary but when my Instructor showed me the capabilities of the aircraft I was amazed.

It truly is an amazing aircraft that wants to fly and never shows a sign that it wants to be back on the ground.

5-Stars from me and many more enjoyable lessons in this aircraft.

Looks like a lovely aircraft just try not to get too glued to the glass cockpit display!

    Hi Hotdog ,

    How's things?

Yep - thats my initial plans. Until I have achieved as much visual flying as possible I don't even want to start looking at the software. Some parts like the Engine indicators do lag anyway, so setting by ear and then checking after its updated.

The amount of power there is just incredible though. We managed to get from EGBO, all the way round the south of Worcester and then back again in an hour, as well doing all the lesson tasks.

I just found out that phoenix flying school have apparently just ordered a Cirrus! Not very sure what type, and you might need a full PPL before you start training like the Beagle Pup they got. But I'm really looking forward to seeing one in Netherthorpe. And I'm also looking forward to seeing it at aero expo next month
    Happy Landings...

    Hi Hotdog ,

Good luck with that! Then you start touch and go's in the 737 right? 8o)

Cruise speed of the Cirrus, ~145 KIAS.
